Unlawful Discrimination & Harassment Policy
CSUFVSA is dedicated to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all its members to ensure their comfort. CSUFVSA prohibits any discrimination or harassment based on an individual's ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, religion, and medical disabilities. As an organization under a CSU program, we also abide by policies inspired by Title IX to protect members from "all forms of sex or gender discrimination, including sexual harassment, dating, domestic violence, other forms of sexual misconduct, stalking and retaliation."
If any members experience any of these discomforts, CSUFVSA urges you to submit a written report of any incidents to board members immediately so we can attend to the issue swiftly and appropriately. The confidentiality of reporters will be protected, and identities will remain hidden. After a thorough and impartial investigation, proven violators will be subjected to loss of participation in major events or ban from the organization and involvement in all of its events.
These policies apply to all members of CSUFVSA, including staff members. Any staff member found guilty of violating these policies will receive the appropriate disciplinary consequences. Consequences include, but are not limited to, immediate termination from their position and from the organization.
CSUFVSA encourages all members to report any unlawful discrimination or harassment incidents so that cases can be attended to fairly and efficiently.
